Chicago-based flutist, Collin Stavinoha, is an active freelancer and orchestral musician. He currently holds positions with the Evansville Philharmonic, Orchestra Iowa, and the Madison Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with the Rockford Symphony and the National Repertory Orchestra. Before settling in the Midwest, he was a member of the Yale Philharmonia and New Music New Haven.

Collin received his Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of North Texas where he studied with Terri Sundberg. He later received his Master’s from the Yale School of Music where he studied with Ransom Wilson and Tara Helen O’Connor. His other major teachers include Leone Buyse and Jake Fridkis.

Outside of orchestral performances, Collin enjoys reading, playing with his dog Jasper, and cooking.
